Professional Bio

I am research development professional that partners with clients (such as start-up companies, universities, and research institutes) on non-dilutive funding strategy and science communication.

With startup companies, I support federal grants, such as SBIR/STTRs, state grants, foundation/philanthropy grants, accelerator/incubator applications, and other mechanisms to help them effectively communicate the science and business strategy. I've worked on grants to most federal agencies, including NIH, CDC, HRSA, DoD, NSF, ARPA-H, and others.

Before joining TIG, I worked at the University of Arizona, helping faculty across the life sciences develop the scientific components of their grants, bringing in $30M in 2.5 years. At Stanford University, I was Executive Director of the Longevity Research Center, where I built it into a multi-institutional research consortium focused on advancing research on technologies to improve the lives of older adults. At GoingVC Partners, I sourced and conducted due diligence on health tech startups.

I have a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Vermont and am currently pursuing my MBA from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a focus on M&A and Business Analytics.
