Professional Bio

Sneha Atwal joined the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) in 2023 to lead VEDP’s economic development efforts in the Manufacturing sector. To that role, she brings over 20 years of experience in advancing roles in the manufacturing sector with Celanese, Evonik, and Danaher.

A 10-year veteran of the chemicals manufacturing industry, Sneha held several roles in increasing leadership, advancing from Production Engineer to Environmental, Health and Safety Director and Global Head of Regulatory Affairs during that time. In her last role prior to joining VEDP, she led regulatory compliance and advocacy to drive global marketability of Celanese’s $11B product portfolio focused on building block chemicals, emulsions, and engineered polymers like advanced thermoplastics. Prior to that, she held leadership positions in Operations with various manufacturers making consumer products ranging from pool noodles to floor tiles and pipe insulation. She also previously worked in the public sector for 8 years, leading Environmental, Health and Safety for Wake County Public Schools in Raleigh, North Carolina.
