Ashlyn Roberts

Ashlyn Roberts is Vice President of Government Affairs at the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA), where she leads advocacy efforts on healthcare, technology policy, and national security policy. She brings more than a decade of experience in government relations and public policy, advising venture capital firms, technology companies, biotechnology companies, entrepreneurs, and pharmaceutical companies on issues spanning capital markets, technology, healthcare, procurement, and intellectual property. Ashlyn has worked closely with Congress and key federal agencies, including the Department of Commerce, HHS, FDA, CMS, NIH, ARPA-H, and the Treasury Department, to advance pro-innovation policy and identify opportunities for collaboration at the intersection of public and private capital. Prior to joining NVCA, she partnered with life sciences investors to engage on key policy issues such as the Inflation Reduction Act, foreign reference pricing, USPTO matters, and USMCA negotiations, while also building and mobilizing a coalition of more than 500 early-stage life sciences venture capitalists and innovators around coordinated advocacy efforts.
